‘Yokohama Employment Fair’supported by the Municipal Government Monday, 15th October 2007

Tokyo Legal Mind K.K. (LEC), offering a wide variety of training courses and prep tests for qualifications and national exams, will host the ‘Yokohama Employment Fair’ on Monday, 15th October 2007 as a consignee, for the purpose of ‘matching selected companies with young people and women’ in 2007.

The goals of the project are:

To promote and support business enterprises and recruitment: as part of Yokohama City’s industrial policies. (Such as companies establishing themselves in the city and looking for employees).

To provide job opportunities for those under 35 years old, as well as women who wish to go back to work after having children or who wish to develop their career possibilities.

To establish more specific job-application requirements and arrange trial employment for a period of one to three months to match employers and job applicants more closely and effectively.

  1. Post job listings and details of job-applicants on our website
  2. Offer individual consultations, competency-check and internship support for job applicants
    *Free of charge depending on the applicant’s request and skill
  3. Match employers with job applicants and provide introductions
  4. Trial employment (for approx. one to three months)
    *Both the employers and applicants will assess aptitude and compatibility
    *Our specialists will support the job-applicant with careful advice
  5. If the trial period is successful, the parties will enter into a contractual agreement (the ultimate goal is full-time employment)

REQUIREMENTS FOR
POTENTIAL JOB-APPLICANTS
  1. Resident of Yokohama City; and
  2. Either (i) Female; or (ii) Under 35 years old; and
  3. Those who wish to: work in Yokohama city; enter the workforce; work full-time; change careers but have concerns; draw on their specialist experience; ensure the job is suitable before employment; want to resume working after having children; or those who simply lack confidence when job-hunting.

Every Monday and Thursday
