LEC University and LiSA Sign an Agreement of Comprehensive Cooperation

LEC: Tokyo Legal Mind University and LiSA (Kanagawa General Industrial High School) have signed an agreement of comprehensive cooperation. LEC University and LiSA already cooperate in the field of career education.This agreement will further strengthen the relationship between the two institutions.

The purpose of the agreement is to establish a working relationship to develop personnel that can advance in a global intellectual society. The agreement will help facilitate a bilateral relationship between LEC University and LiSA by allowing the two to make better use of each other’s educational resources. The two institutions will work on coordinating research and development of career education programs.

LEC University plans to advance career development education to achieve the goal of special district law: “To develop personnel that contribute to the local economy.”

Report on the signing ceremony

At 11 AM on September 9, 2005, LEC: Tokyo Legal Mind University and LiSA (Kanagawa General Industrial High School) signed an agreement of comprehensive cooperation.

The purpose of this agreement is to build a stronger relationship between LEC University and LiSA and to develop personnel that can advance in an intellectual society. The two institutions will coordinate research and development of career programs by advancing the usage of each other’s educational resources.

At the ceremony Mr. Katsuo Sorimachi, President of LEC Tokyo Legal Mind University greeted everyone by saying:“The victory of ideas that could only occur between a for-profit university president and a high school principal with a private background, made the cooperation of the two institutions possible. We will be most glad if we can help advance career education.”

Mr. Shin Miyahara, Principle of Kanagawa General Industrial High School responded by saying: “As a principal from the private sector, I have been working on developing new high school education. It is important to start using words like ‘mission’ and ‘vision,’ not common in educational fields. This agreement matches our vision of developing education with local communities and businesses in mind. We will be most glad if LiSA can further achieve the mission of contributing to society by cooperating with LEC University.”

The main areas of corporation are as follows:

  1. Cooperation in the practice and research of career development programs (LEC University will dispatch teachers of career education to LiSA, as well as provide educational support)
  2. Cooperation in exchanges between LEC University students and LiSA students.
  3. Cooperation in teacher training and research projects.
  4. Cooperation in providing educational programs to local communities.
